Hadoop installation using Cloudera VMware -


can please let me know minimum ram required (of host machine) running cloudera's hadoop on vmware workstation?

i have 6gb of ram. documentation says ram required vm 4 gb.

still, when run it, centos loaded , vm crashes. have no other active application running @ time.

are there other options apart installing hadoop manually?

you may running localhost running out or memory or other issue preventing machine booting completely. there couple of other options if don’t want deal manual install:

  • if have access docker environment try the docker image provide.
  • run in cloud aws, gce, azure, have small allotment of personal/student credits available.
    • for aws, emr makes easy run repeatedly.
  • for short durations, try demo bitnami (https://bitnami.com/stack/hadoop) , run whatever need there.

php - trouble displaying mysqli database results in correct order -
