Why does North Dakota has a separate Timezone namespace in the Olson database? -
when compiling list of time zones, wondered why north dakota (along argentina) have there own separate namespace.
for example. amsterdam has europe/amsterdam, london has europe/london north dakota has own namespace:
america/north_dakota/beulah america/north_dakota/center america/north_dakota/new_salem
what special north dakota has own namespace in olson database?
there many locations these, subregions (counties, provinces, etc.) have historical time differences. can read history in comments of tzdb sources.
