uitabbarcontroller - Is it possible to hide the tab bar on iOS apps? -


in designing concept focusses on conferences. lay-out makes use of tab bar. however, not on screens tab bar should visible. is

  • whenever 'succes' overlay layer on current screen (the tab bar may visible, blocked overlay)

  • regular screen focus on action/content. maintain focus tab bar should hidden. once press '< back' button in menu, you'll returned default page got tab bar , let's navigate.

so basically, question is: if implemented tab bar main navigation: should visible @ time or possible have full screen overlay ('succes confirmation') or sub-page or so, hides/covers tab bar?

use case
app used during conferences , presentations capture current time. time 'bookmarked', users go moment of presentation , re-live piece of information, whether sum-up, image or great quote.

to user focus on presentation , doesn't need know he/she should tap, buttons pretty big , buttons on screen, within finger range. if tab bar available, it'll near 2 buttons , might end in mis-clicking.

i want hide tab bar screen got complete focus on 2 buttons.
